How to compare weight-management supplements

Weight-management supplements are a mixed category rather than one standardized product type. Capsules, powders, meal-replacement products, fibre formulas, protein products, and stimulant blends can all appear under similar marketing language. SuppScan focuses on checkable shopping data: serving definition, declared ingredients, calories or protein where listed, package size, product form, and current price.

Read the full facts panel and record every separately disclosed ingredient with its amount and unit. Note serving size, servings per container, caffeine or other stimulant amounts when declared, protein or fibre grams where relevant, sweeteners, calories, and whether the product is a capsule, powder, liquid, bar, or meal format. A “burn,” “detox,” or “control” claim is positioning, not a comparable measurement.

The basic price calculation is package price divided by stated servings. A common-unit calculation is useful only when the same ingredient or nutrition field is disclosed consistently; do not compare a capsule blend with a meal replacement by package count or invent a single score from unrelated ingredients. A larger package can contain more servings without offering the same composition per serving.

Keep incompatible formats separate. A powder may include calories and macronutrients, while a capsule may list only a small blend amount; liquids and gummies can add sweeteners, and proprietary blends may hide component quantities. When a listing lacks the data needed for a fair denominator, SuppScan shows a partial comparison rather than guessing from the product name or category.

Use the product page to verify the current label, price, stock, currency, merchant terms, and any serving or allergen details. Catalog coverage and formulations change, while personal goals, medication use, and health context are outside this comparison database.
