Supplement Net Contents: Compare Tablets, Grams, and Servings

Compare package quantity in the unit the label gives, then convert to servings only when unit count and serving size are clear.

Supplement packages may state net contents by tablet count, powder weight, liquid volume, or a combination. Those units are not interchangeable, so preserve the package’s stated quantity.

Match net contents to the serving definition

For capsules or gummies, compare units per container with units per serving and servings per container. For powders, record net grams and grams per serving. For liquids, record volume and labeled serving volume. Do not convert milliliters to grams without product-specific density information.

Calculate package value only from clear fields

If servings per container are disclosed, divide package price by that number. If they are not, calculate servings only when both net contents and units per serving use the same unit. State the method beside the value. Package weight alone cannot tell how much of a particular ingredient is present.
